About
Randy was born in Huntington, WV, and grew up in Southern California. His family was the original "Beverly Hillbillies." After two years of junior college, majoring in art, he served four years in the USAF as a Graphics Illustrator. Early in his Air Force "career" he met Pat Hall – his wife of 45 years. Pat has been a first class executive assistant, human resources representative, and a super-mom for most of that time.
Following military service, he went on to earn a B.A. from Mobile College, Ala., then a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ft. Worth, Texas, and ultimately a Doctor of Ministry from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, Calif.
He served 37 years in various kinds of ministry, including on college campuses in Texas and Calif., special event & resort ministries in S. Calif., seminary instructor, and on several church staff positions in Ala., Texas, Tenn., and Fla. He is also a professional development and leadership consultant and trainer.
During his Air Force years, he and Pat raised two great sons, David and Daniel. They now have a granddaughter (Dan's), Chloe (who is an "A" student and a black-belt in Tae-Kwon-Do) and a grandson (David's), Samuel (who is going to be an engineer). They love being Meme and Pop more than anything!
Randy has written three books related to sailing (see publications) and is currently writing a historical novel – due out later this year.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this leadership training to anyone.
