Tempest Driven
Published in BlogI have always loved history and "swash-buckling" sagas! I've read many of the popular nautical novels, including Patrick O'Brien. Most of these that deal with the late 18th and early 19th centuries have a distinctly British or Canadian viewpoint. I wanted to see what these facinating and crucial times looked like from a "not unbiased" American perspective, so I decided to write a "saga" of my own.
Blogs of my upcoming historical novel "Tempest Driven." will beforthcoming in weekly installments. Please give me feed-back regarding story, pace, topic(s), history, characters, even grammar and syntax - whatever. I will take any input seriously as i develop the book and if you help me regularly, I will send you an autographed copy. You can learn more about me on the About page of my website RandyDeering.com.
Working for a Fortune 500 company, I was excited to see that many of the points that Randy spoke about were in harmony with my learning for my work life. His message is about simple, but often missed truths: how we treat each other, what team is all about, and priorities.
Leadership, for Randy, is a shared experience. He did a great job providing thought provoking scenarios, responses and challenges. His professional experience comes through.
Randy has captured the elements of good leadership in a strong program. Our club is looking to grow our membership and level of participation. We found his message on target to help us with both of these goals.
